“People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. Love them anyway. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.”
We’ve heard the words and maybe even have them on our home or office walls. Many think they are the words of Mother Teresa. They are actually the words of Kent M. Keith, written when he was a sophomore at Harvard College. Forty years later, the verses are iconic among inspirational writings.
Interview Dr. Keith about the origins of his Paradoxical Commandments how they went from a student writing project to the walls of Shishu Bhavan, Mother Teresa’s Calcutta home for children, to international acclaim.
Kent speaks about:
• How he discovered that Mother Teresa had adopted his words as her mantra.
• Why the Paradoxical Commandments are more relevant today than 40 years ago.
• How the Universal Moral Code transcends politics and international boundaries.
• 40 stories from people who live the Paradoxical Commandments daily.
