Chris Farley was undoubtedly one of the greatest comic actors of his time and probably one of the greatest physical comedians of all-time. Whether it was motivational speaker Matt Foley (living in a van down by the river) or his stint as an out-of-shape Chippendale, Farley always gave his all, much like his idol John Belushi.

But sadly, behind the hilarious characters and great success was a tragic story of a man battling lifelong patterns of addiction (to drugs, alcohol, and food) and a lack of self-esteem. A battle Chris lost in December of 1997 at the age of 33.

Tom Farley, Jr. (Chris’ brother) and Tanner Colby have written THE CHRIS FARLEY SHOW: A Biography in Three Acts and both are available for interviews.

Bring them on your show to talk about:

• Farley’s early years growing up in an idyllic Midwestern suburb in a deeply religious and well-to-do family crippled by addiction.

• How his addiction to drugs and alcohol began during high school and the desire to do comedy actually kept him alive.

• What it was really like behind-the-scenes at SNL and anecdotes about Chris’s party excesses.

• How Chris is remembered by his friends, including David Spade, Chris Rock, Alec Baldwin, and Lorne Michaels.

• Desperate attempts to save Chris and the cruel irony that what audiences found funniest about Chris fueled his most destructive demons.

• The quiet side of Chris that was deeply religious and superstitious.

CREDENTIALS: Tom Farley, Jr., Chris’ older brother, is President and Managing Director of the Chris Farley Foundation. Tanner Colby is former head writer of the National Lampoon Radio Hour, and also co-author of Belushi: A Biography.
