April is the month that shaped America’s destiny. In was in April 1865 that the Civil War ended and President Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator, was assassinated.

Less than a year before America commemorates the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth, historians and politicians are fervently debating his legacy, and questioning the accuracy of our nation’s collective memory.

Does “Honest Abe” deserve a hero status, or was he canonized because he died a martyr? What gave him pleasure? Was he a latent homosexual?

These questions and others will be addressed by author T.K. Marion, who is part of the current debate. An expert on Lincoln, Marion asserts that it was partly his lifelong battle with depression which made him our greatest president.

On your show he will also:

• Detail Lincoln’s relationship with Joshua Fry Speed, with whom he shared a bachelor pad (and a bed) for four years.

• Expose Lincoln’s psychic gifts.

• Compare Lincoln’s lifestyle and personal beliefs with those of our current political leaders.
