Although their numbers are dwindling, former Nazis continue to live out their golden years in peace, prosperity and anonymity here in the U.S. But Nazi hunters are determined to bring these war criminals to justice. Only recently, the U.S. Justice Department’s Office of Special Investigations identified a former concentration camp guard and attack dog handler living near Atlanta. At 85, he now faces possible deportation for the crimes against humanity authorities say he committed.

Author and journalist Alan Elsner is an expert on cases like this one, and on why it is so important to expose the people whose actions contributed to the greatest crime in history— the Holocaust.

As the son of a Holocaust survivor and a crusader for remembering its victims, Elsner will discuss:

• The connection between America’s right-wing militias and Europe’s Nazi past.

• The efforts of the U.S. government to bring former Nazis to justice before they die.

• True-life tales of former Nazis tracked down and punished for their crimes.
