When does healing from child abuse begin, and how do you do it? Many people believe that recovery begins and ends once the perpetrator is exposed. However, that is often only the beginning of a long, emotional and painful journey.
Poet and former teacher Jolainne BoRienne was a victim of child abuse. She discovered that self-expression through poetry can help expose thoughts and feelings that may have been suppressed and if persevered, it can also provide a wonderful, deep healing experience.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
